Title: LTN-92?
Post by 747driver on Jun 23rd, 2009, 10:21pm

This Delco Carousel INS is great...I was wondering if maybe the Litton -92 can be made also? there are manuals for this unit available online. It would be a nice addition since alot of classics now use this unit.

Thus far those I have seen cost about 20 dollars...free ones may be around somewhere...

I would really like to have LTN-92 in my FS, too. Could developers consider creating it? Thanks!

It's been a while...a looong while but I'm still curious nonetheless to know if the CIVA INS will see any new updates/enhancements or if we may see a "newer" unit such as the LTN 92? Seems like there may be a few free PDF manuals online.

I am planning, and I hope I'll manage, to release a CIVA update within this year.
Currently there are no plans to develop something more "modern" than CIVA, like the LTN-92.

Good to hear! Personally, one of the features I would love the most is the ability to auto load the flightplan cards during the flight.

Not happy to tell you so but, for sure, such feature will never be implemented, as it would ruin the whole simulation experience.

I might accept to look into new features like adding an auto-pause when last defined leg is nearly complete to let the FS-user do something else while flying (just an example) but I'd never ever implement features not originally belonging to the Carousel.

Marco, this is fantastic news, is there also a chance you will update so it is compatible with the 64bit version of P3D v4 ?

I presently know nothing about P3DV4.
Do you have any info about the SDK? Is it available already? If not, when will it be published?

I do know they will be providing an SDK and it will be more detailed than what has been made available in the past.  P3D v4 released tomorrow at 2pm EST but I am not sure if the SDK will also be available at that time.  I will post here once I get it installed and let you know if its included.

Actually, your suggestion of auto pause is a brilliant idea. I thought having an "auto load" function might be helpful but your suggestiong of pausing before the next card has to be loaded is the best option for those who may need to step away from the PC.

Hello! Hope you are well in this pandemic times...

I've recently came across LTN-92 pilot handbook on another FlightSim site, if you are interested.

Nevertheless, all the best of health,
Miloš

Hi Miloš,

I'm surely interested, it is a pdf file?
