INS heading off from actual heading
Jun 14th, 2007, 2:02pm

Hello,

Two thumbs up for a superb job!  This CIVA gauge is great!

When I use this gauge (v.1.4), It marks about 15 degrees more than the actual heading.  (If I'm NORTH 000', CIVA reads about 015').
I have a single INS with the panel assembled as per spec I hope.
When I align CIVA, I usually push the little screw on the top right of the alignment panel to speed things up.

What can I do?

Thank you.

Marino,

to understand if it is really a problem you should also let us know at which latitude and longitude you observed a 15 degrees "displacement". This is because the INS works with TRUE headings, not magnetic headings, and there are part of the world where 15 degrees difference between magnetic and true north are well possible.
