I am following the steps in the operations manual and it calls for the hold key to be pressed in STS mode to verify that the Program ID is 11 17.

However two of my units show 10 10 in the LH display and the other shows 11 17.

I want to ask what this means as I can find no reference to program ID 10 10 in the documentation or the forum.

Hi Andy,
10 10 is the program identity of the INS Carousel IV-AC.
Carousel IV-AC is the INS version for supersonic planes.
Onboard the supersonic planes INS #1&#2 are supersonic version and
INS#3 is a subsonic version.
That's is the why you have INS#1&#2 CDUs showing 10 10 and the INS#3 showing 11 17.
If you are flying a supersonic plane you have to install the Carousel IV-AC version otherwise your version should be Carousel IV-A .
