Its kind of hard to explain but whenever I put in a waypoint, it changes. I have added it for the Tinmouse 737 and RFP 747 and it happens for both.

I put in N49.82108, it enters like this 49 821 1 and when I press insert, it changes to like 52 300 2. (Not exactly but its an example.)

I think it has to do something with how high the number is. Like if its 4 units away from the next number it rounds it up. because when its 49 599 9, it doesnt round up. but if its 49 600 0 then it does round up to like 50 000 0.

anyone know what the problem is?

the problem is the coordinate format.
The coordinate format accepted by INS is as written in the Civa/Doc:
Example
N45 44.7 W70 50.8 or
S25 45.0 E110 38.4

by the way, thats from simroutes.

I try adding it in like N49 86.0 but it changes to like N53 26.0

hi,
the degree minutes are 60 and not more.You cannot insert N49 86.0.
When the amount of minutes is 60 the degree value increases by one.
Like looking at your watch:every 60 minutes time increases by one hour.
So N49 60.0 is the same of N50 00.0 because 60 minutes are equal at 1 degree.
The only correct manner,accepted by the INS, to insert coordinates is in degrees,minutes and Tenth of minute rounded at the nearest one.
Example:
if you have to insert N49 30.16 you have to insert into the INS
N49 30.2 because the nearest tenth of minute of 16 is 2.
The coordinates N49.860833 W7.775500 you tryied to insert must be converted to DMS format and then it's possible to insert it into the INS.
Conversion from Decimal Degree to Degrees Minutes Seconds:
Given your coordinates N49.860833 E7.775500 it's easy to convert it to DMS format.
Subtract the whole number portion of the coordinate, leaving the fractional part. The whole number is the number of degrees. 49.860833 = 49 degrees.
Multiply the remaining fractional part by 60. This will produce a number of minutes in the whole number portion.
0.860833x60 = 51.64998 = 51 minutes.(Latitude)
Same method for longitude:
0.775500x60=46.53000=46 minutes.(Longitude)
Multiply the fractional part of the number of minutes by 60, producing a number of seconds.
0.64998 x 60 = 38.9988 = 38 seconds.(Latitude)
0.53000x60= 31.8000=31 seconds.(Longitude)
The coordinates N49.860833 E7.775500 in the DMS format are:
N49 51.38 W007 46.31
to be inserted into the INS it's necessary to round the seconds at the nearest minute tenth:
N49 51.4 W007 46.3
