RFP  msu put on stnby dcu is on but shows no display on the screen (using units shift-7) but if i enter long/lat input displays on the panel units.

I'm sorry will try again

I'm setting up the RFP plane for a flight including setting up the INS

I go to the sub-panel icons choose INS units - (I've already turned them on prior to choosing the sub panel icon)

The INS units come up and are functional - however when I attempt to put in the start location (from shift z) the numbers don't show on the mcu display.........

But they do display on the representation of the INS units on the main panel - in my case the analog one

you have to push shift+z to have the ramp position shown on the  display upper left corner.Then you have to insert the ramp coordinates
into the INS CDU after having set the MSU selector to STBY.After that you have to set the MSU selector to ALIGN.

Thanks I do the above ....but my issue is that as I insert the ramp coordinates they do not show on the INS CDU display for the units called up using the main panel icon but instead display on the main panel representations of the INS CDUs.

The INS CDUs called up using the main panel icons are powered up and functional......just don't display any inputs although the main panel representations do display the inputs???? :-?

That did it!!!! Thanks so much for your patience......did a line by line comparison and made the necessary changes and it all works as expected.

Now need to take a look at the panel the VA has set up for the RFP and see whats going on there.
