Hi

In an a/c with 3x units, I had one CDU with a totally wrong POS in flight, I don't know why. I waited for a VOR and did a manual update which worked and then did a dual auto update with an on-route and off route VOR. I got the PI down to 1 on all 3 CDU's but still the 06-56 error would not clear, anyone any idea why please ?

please check ActionAndMalfunctionCodes.pdf document to understand what 06-56 means and how to handle the condition.

Hi Marco

Thanks for your reply. I have read the manual, my understanding is the message can be cleared once the INS POS is back correct, which if my PI is 1 I would have thought was good enough to clear the error.

Steve, I'd have to look at the source code to understand if what you experienced is due to one of the many "simulated features" the INS could randomly auto-generate.
If that is the case then there is nothing you could do to clear it.
