Title: ADEU routes Post by cougar on May 28th, 2007, 2:53pm Dear Marco first of all Thanks. I would like to konw how the way to prepare an adeu route:Wich kind of program i have to use for? Thanks for the answer! Cougar |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Marco Ravanello on May 28th, 2007, 3:56pm Hi Cougar and thanks! To prepare one or more ADEU files (remember one ADEU file holds up to 9 waypoints [8 suggested for the first one as waypoint #1 should be set equal to the present position on ground] so if your flight includes more than 9 you'll have to split it into several AWC files) you'll have to get waypoints coordinates first. a) Read ADEU documentation at the end of GaugesUserManual.pdf (look in civa/docs folder) b) Check SAMPLE.AWC in Civa/Adeu folder (there are many in fact) c) Build your flight plan with FS' planner (or whatever you prefere) d) Take the generated flight plan and copy waypoint coordinates to a new .AWC file e) Save AWC file(s) to Civa/Adeu folder f) Done 8-) To edit a .AWC or .ADC file simply use notepad or any other text editor Hope this helps... Marco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Marco Ravanello on May 28th, 2007, 8:46pm Cougar, I'd suggest you to use as reference one of the flight plans posted by Gianfranco, he's the flight plan master. Marco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by cougar on May 30th, 2007, 3:32pm I will !!!! Ciao and Thanks |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Siberier on Jun 12th, 2007, 3:29pm Dear Marco! Maybe you can make a special utility for export FS plan to CIVA format? Because it very hard and take time to make it by hands) otherways thx you very much for this options! Best regards from Russia |

I have to agree with Siberier. Unless you plan on flying the route many times it is just as easy to manually input the waypoint coordinates in the CDU. If there was some way to "import" a flight plan, from MSFS or another utility (like FSNavigator), and have it "write" the CIVA format "card" for the ADEU, that would make the ADEU much more usefull. Please don't misunderstand me...the version 1.50 is fantastic and I am only making "wishes" here ;) Vic |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by prowler on Jul 20th, 2007, 2:44am Hey gang...look what I found at Avsim... "fs9tociva.zip". Haven't tried it yet but it might be just the ticket?? 8-) Vic |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Gianfranco on Jul 20th, 2007, 5:32pm Hi, I dowloaded the file to convert the FS9 FLT PLAN in AWC civa cards but always I try the result is an error message.Do you are able to get this utility working? Gianfranco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by prowler on Jul 21st, 2007, 4:01am Hmm...Gianfranco...I succesfully converted one file with no problem? Are you converting the FS ".PLN" file (and not the ".FLT" file). Sorry if it is a stupid question...but it only works with the FS .PLN files. Here's my .AWC: ; ; Carousel IV-A INS ; ADEU Waypoints Data Card ; ; Created by FS9toCiva v1.0 ; by Rick Schaefer (c)2007 ; ---------------------------- ; 2 N 44*51.9 W 93*11.0 3 N 44*51.0 W 93*2.1 4 N 43*54.7 W 91*28.0 5 N 42*19.1 W 89*18.7 6 N 42*13.2 W 87*57.1 7 N 41*58.7 W 87*54.2 If you ARE converting the PLN files...what does the error message say? Hopefully we can quickly solve this problem. Vic |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Siberier on Jul 23rd, 2007, 10:38am Hi people! I had a chat with Rick, so there you are: Hi Siberier. What software are you using to create the .PLN file? The only thing my program supports right now is FSBuild 2.3. FSNav and FS9's default flightplanner will not work with my program, altho I'm working on an update. Also, it appears that the format that FSBuild uses for it's NAT tracks is different than the REST of the flightplan, so it will break on that type of flightplan right now as well. -Rick On Fri 20 Jul 2007 05:40:21 AM BOT , siberier sent: Hi Rick! Your utility - it is a good idea! But i have a problem, i run a programm then chose flight plan Fs9 and after that a have a error "List index out of bounds" i think you know about this bug. I will wait you answer. Thx a lot further. |

Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Adrian19 on Aug 6th, 2007, 12:57pm Hi all, I found it works for flightplans exported from FSNav in FS2004 format, but you need to edit the cards to put in the leading zeros, that may be missing in the degrees and minutes . Starting from waypoint 2 is a good idea for the first card, but again you need to manually edit subsequent cards, as the program makes them all 9 waypoints long (which would overwrite a current waypoint). It would have been better to make the following cards 7 waypoints long, i.e. card 2 Wpts 1-7 card 3 Wpts 8-5 card 4 Wpts 6-3 ...etc. This way when you reach 8 to 9 on the INS you can enter card 2 without overwriting any current waypoints, 6 to 7 for card 3, and 4 to 5 for card 4, etc. Just my 5 cts worth ... Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Siberier on Aug 7th, 2007, 11:18am Hello everybody! I have a good news! My friend made a utilit! It can convert FS9 plan to CIVA format (ADEU). All of you may load civaconverter.zip on avsim.com Also it programm make 7 points file, according Adrian's advise. ;) Have a nice flights gentelmens! Best regards from Russia. |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Gianfranco on Aug 7th, 2007, 4:03pm hi Siberer, he made or he in the future will make this utility?Until now there's no return in Avsim library searching civaconverter.zip. I wrote him but no reply.Boh! Gianfranco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Siberier on Aug 10th, 2007, 7:54am there are 3 100 kb files. After you download it, open archive by winrar. Winzip wouldn't be work with thise archive. |

Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Gianfranco on Aug 10th, 2007, 9:28am hi Siberer, I downloaded Civaconvert.rar from your post because until now it's impossible to find it in the Avsim library. I didn't find in your archive a readme file where's possible to find explanations for this utility use. I was able to convert the flight plan in AWC files but I cannot understand how I have to proceed to obtain the ADC files. If you have a readme can you kindly post it being impossible to find civaconvert.rar in the Avsim library. Gianfranco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Marco Balzarotti on Aug 10th, 2007, 10:42am OK, I've added the .RAR archives extension to the list of the allowed uploadable attachment file types. You can now attach .RAR files to your posts, the maximum file size will remain 100 KB Marco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Siberier on Aug 10th, 2007, 4:05pm ok It is very simple step-by-step 1. dowmload thise 3 files. 2. extract it to folder CIVACONVERT for example. 3. open the .exe file 4. right down ICAO airport code in the ARR and DIP title (it is need for file name) 5. click CONVERT 6. choose your fs9 fpl. 7. you can find your AWC file in the converted folder. 8. copy these files to folder ADEU in your folder CIVA thats all. |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Gianfranco on Aug 10th, 2007, 6:27pm hi evidently this is a utility only for AWC files. ADC files still to be compiled by hand.Anyway until now in the Avisim library the file is absent. Gianfranco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by prowler on Aug 13th, 2007, 12:09am Aren't AWC files the ones we will most likely need a "card" for? |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Siberier on Aug 25th, 2007, 5:36am http://www.avsim.ru/files.phtml?action=download&id=10200&hl= This is a civaconverter. |

Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Gianfranco on Dec 11th, 2007, 9:16am Hi, FPciva converter author forgot that the first waypoint should be the departure airport. An important check that the simmer must accomplish after having loaded the waypoint is the "DISTANCE CHECK",and without the departure airport as first waypoint it's not possible to perform it. Gianfranco |

Hi Gianfranco, Why is it that it's not possible to do a distance check not having the departure airport as first wyapoint? Providing the rest of wpts should be checked for distance agreement with fplan papers... Tom |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by Gianfranco on Dec 12th, 2007, 4:03pm you cannot check that the distance between ramp position and departure waypoint is zero to prove that the distance INS feature is working properly. Gianfranco |
Title: Re: ADEU routes Post by taguilo on Dec 12th, 2007, 8:42pm Ok, thank you Gianfranco :) Tom |
