SSTSIM Alignment issue
Dec 28th, 2007, 10:51pm

Yet again, the INS STS will never go beyond 6.

I have entered the correct coordinates, using my current displayed FS coordinates (Shift+Z)

I have properly performed the alignment procedures

I have pressed the screw to speed the process

The INS presents absolutely no error codes whatsoever.

The only indication that something is wrong is the INS light illuminates on the annunciator panel the moment I turn the INS on, and will never go away.

Is this a unique problem, and if it is, is it solvable?

UPDATE: Error 06-41 was recently unmasked.

hi,
notice that the ramp position LAT and LONG are part of a unique data entry. For this reason after having inserted the LAT the INSERT light remains illuminated waiting for the LONG insertion, and goes out only after having received both LAT&LONG.
Very common error is:
pushing twice the INSERT light after the LAT insertion because the simmers wrongly think that remaining the INSERT light illuminated the LAT data are not been accepted by the INS.
So resuming the right procedure:
After having checked that Action&Malfunction codes aren't present,
insert the LAT data pushing once the INSERT light .
With the INSERT light illuminated insert the LONG data checking at the end after having pushed the INSERT light that the Light INSERT goes out.
