How to.... :-[
Feb 1st, 2008, 2:37am

Hi,
I've read all the PDF and can't understand how to enter the Lat/long at first. I've tried different way, but can't find the right one. I did :
MSU rotate to STBY then go to CDU, check all we have to check (11 17), everything goes well and after when I tried to dial the Latitude N180257 (N18*02.57') and push to Insert key (was illuminated), I'm unable to dial W or E suppose to illuminate the Insert key, but the insert key stay without light and the upper right window stay with all zero on it. Undecided
What I'm doing wrong ?
I would appreciate advice...!
Do we have a quick way to initiate the first position ? (like the hidden key on the MSU) Smiley
Cheers

After entering LAT you're pressing INSERT twice which is wrong. Press it only ONCE, let it remain illuminated, enter LON and press INSERT again, at that point it will (correctly) light off.

Awesome, it works.  Cool
I feel like a nuts, many thanks to give them this complex enjoyment INS as a free add-ons and concern by our little worries come from very often by a misunderstanding of the PDF files, which are well done.
Those PDF files explain clearly the INS and what's for, but to manage it is another way, like I could testify.
For example the new ADEU gauge has been implemented to let the user setup the INS much faster, by loading all waypoints in one shot instead of typing them by hand one by one.
So CDU knobs should be in WAYPT position then press remote then load the flight plan saved in the ADEU folder and press insert to the CDU, that's correct ?
Then how to manage ADEU 1 and 2 ? The ADEU 1 first 9 waypoints and ADEU 2 next 9 waypoints ?   Embarrassed
Clearly an example flight, step by step show how to manage this INS will be very useful as we can fake it. Don't you think so ?  Wink
Thanks for your advice...!
Cheers

To load an ADEU card (a Waypoints card or a DME stations card) just select the card file name and press Aux Read on the ADEU panel. When loading a waypoint card you may press REMOTE on all units so that waypoints are defined in all of them.

To load waypoints use just one ADEU and the REMOTE facility. There are 2 ADEUs because it is possible to load two different DME stations cards, one into INS1 memory via ADEU1 and the other into INS2 memory via ADEU2

I agree, that's why we included a tutorial flight, see docs!

Thanks to loose your time to reply me, your are right the tutorial flight is present under the doc files.

Sorry again I had only the first page available in the PDF file, I don't know the reason yet but I will investigate.

Anyway now I can read and follow all the 8 pages, which is really better to learn how to use this enjoyable INS and with your explanations regarding ADEU, I feel more confortable.

Congratulations and many thanks again !
Cheers
