Beta-testers for new Civa Convertor 2.0 needed
Oct 17th, 2008, 2:47pm

Good morning folks.  I have been given kind permission to ask on here for about 15-20 beta testers for my new version of the Civa Convertor.  Currently it supports FSBuild->FS9, FSBuild->FSX, FS9 default planner and FSNav->FS9 flight plan files.  FSX default plans are planned, but FSX cannot seem to make up it's mind HOW it wants to export the flight plan, so I'm finding that one a bit difficult at the moment.  But I'll get it eventually!  If interested, drop me a note here and let me know.  Have a good day.

Hi, Rick.  I would be interested in helping you, but I still use FS2002 (FS8).  If you have any plans to support the FS2002 default planner format I would be happy to help with testing.  Incidentally, Nav3.1 outputs default FS2002 style plans as well so by handling FS2002 you would be getting support for another external planner as well.

Well, I still have FS2002 somewhere...also FS2000 and FS98.  I'll take a look at the flightplan format to see what the difference is.

Coming along ok.  It's out to the beta-testers that I have right now and so far it's looking pretty positive.  Not had any major problems reported, but hey, it's still early.  Smiley  I can't seem to locate my FS2002 discs anywhere.  Mind sending me a PM on here with a copy of one of your flightplans?  I'll take a look at it.

Sorry for the lack of info on my program, but I had an HD crash on my laptop (which I use for programming) and lost about 40% of the code.  I'm trying to recreate it now, but the only portion that's working at the moment is the FSBuild to FS9 conversion.  Same as my original v1.0.  I've not given up yet!
