DIS/TIME for whole route
Oct 7th, 2009, 8:12pm

hi everyone.

i'd like to know if there is an opportunity to display the distance and time for the whole route. i would like to plan a transatlantic flight and need the estimated arrival time to overfly an oceanic entry fix.
for example i'm in flight and programmed all 9 waypoints. now i'm overflying wpt 2 and would like to know the distance and time to wpt 7.
i know that wypt change 2-7 will give me dis/time for a direct route, but if the other waypoints are not linear on this route, the dis/time would be much greater. is there a chance to get the whole route data from wpt 2 via wpt 3, wpt 4, wpt 5, wpt 6 to wpt 7 without adding them all together handmade by checking each leg?

i didn't find anything in the doc's and need your help. thanks!

hi,
as you noticed by the INS you can only know the TIME between two waypoints.
If the waypoints are linear on the routing you can choise the waypoint you desire and pushing 0-X INSERT you can have the necessary time to reach this waypoint.
If the waypoints aren't linear with the routing you have after a positive Distance check following the waypoints insertion, look in the flight plan at ETA and make the addition of the Extimate times arrival of all intermediate waypoints.
Obviously this value will be related to the extimated GS in your flight plan.
