Captain Sim 707 INS problem
Jan 31st, 2010, 3:02pm

Hi to all, i have Captain Sim 707 version 1.0 and CIVA version 1.51. I used meatwater installer and i got it in aircraft. I do everithing as it should be done (ramp position, allign, waypoints coordinates.....) then i put all three allign switches to NAV,  switch INS NAV to 1, turn on white GPS button switch heading on but it doesn't want to follow the route. Actualy, he manage to do turn into the waypoint but not on correct heading and when it reach waypoint he just continue on current heading. Does anybody knows where is the problem ????? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

hi,
as it was said many times in the past after TO when the radar vectoring is over and the ATC clears you to proceed as filed you have to check the FROM-TO display and if the TO waypoint is the right one push WPT CHG button 0-X INSERT(X stands for the right TO waypoint).
After having switched on the INSNAVMODE desired switch the plane will proceed to the TO waypoint and after that on track as filed only if the TEST switch is in AUTO position.
The INS works only if the A/P NAV MODE SELECTOR is in HDG mode and  the A/P must be not a custom one but a MSFS std.
I suggest you to ask to CaptainSim support if the A/P is MSFS std and what they know about the A/P working with Civa INS.
Regards Gianfranco

Go to the Cpt Sim site and have a look at B707 review you'll find the note about the impossibility of B707 A/P to work with Civa.
CLS B747 A/P works properly with Civa.
