Problems with sample panels and default aircrafts
May 1st, 2015, 11:19am

Hi,

I have both FS9 and FSX installed on the same computer. I installed CIVA INS in both root folders but when I try and copy sample panels for default 737 or 747 in FS9 (including the bitmaps), the sim doesn't work anymore. That windows' busy icon is spinning on and on and on and the sim is practicaly unusable. Funny thing I noticed is, that for instance if I move throttles nothing will happen as long as I don't open/close a panel (it can be that overhead/light panel or radio panel or anything really). When I do that, engine indications will correct themselves but if I try to do another change, the same procedure must be applied. The same thing goes for any switch in the cockpit, including the INS. It seems like the sim refreshes only when I close or open a random panel. The sound still works though.

Then I tried integrating INS in the FSX. I copied sample panel for Learjet and everything works fine, INS can be used there. I then tried TinMouse 737, which is freeware add-on for FS9, and it works great there as well. The only problm seem to be the default aircrafts in FS9 and I can't figure out what it is. If I restore original panel.cfg everything is back to normal but when I replace this with sample panels with INS, it stops working again.

Are you sure you used panel.cfg(s) as originally distributed with the CIVA package? Did you change anything within them?
