NAT v 3.0 - FSX ?
Nov 29th, 2008, 8:31pm

Hi Gianfranco,

as I switched over to FSX now, I just want to ask, if Your North Atlantic waypoints "NAT v. 3.0"-tool at also works well at FSX.

Best regards

hi,
I never tryied Nat v.3.0 with FSX but I think that it works properly.
Anyway in the meantime I updated NAT v.3.0 to Nat v.4.0(available in AVSIM library) where the Central Atlantic area has been added to the North one .
If you are going to try it with FSX please let me know how it works.
Cheers Gianfranco

Hi Gianfranco,

thanks for Your notice about Nat v.04 ! As my favourite INS-equipped aircraft, the DF727, is not availaible for the FSX, I tried to add at the CLS 747-200 Your great CIVA-INS. But as I had problems with the FS-Panelstudio, I have made the testflght with the default FSX Learjet at last, as there is a panel.cfg at Your site (also I had to refuel over the atlantic  Wink).

However, I have used Your flightplan and ADEU-Cards vor KJFK-EGLL,
and I can say Nat v.4.0 and CIVA works well also at FSX .  Smiley

The only thing is, that the flight is very turbulent; sometime there are exessive changes of the windspeed (from 10kts up to 70 kts.)   Huh

But this has nothing to do with Natv.4.0 or CIVA. As I read in another forum, it must be a bug of FSX especially over the atlantic.  Angry

Ciao !
Dietmar

Hi Toelg,
I'm happy for the news you're giving me.
I use and suggest you for Atlantic flights RFP 747-200:the best 747 classic within FS.
In the RFP forum has been ascertained that RFP 747-200 works properly with FSX also.
Flying setting the "Real Weather"I noticed the frquent wind variations but within FS9 are not so great as the variations you are reporting within FSX.
Thanks Gianfranco

Hi Gianfranco,

" - for Atlantic flights RFP 747-200:the best 747 classic within FS - "

I agree completely; but unfortunately it doesn't work with FSX at my system. At first sight, it looked good, but the aircraft-systems don't work properly.

I've found in another forum (rapidforum.com), that Chris Koegler is working at a new version, which should be work at FSX and Fs9.
Let's hope, that he can release it soon.

Have a nice weekend !
