1.6 vs 1.51?
Apr 23rd, 2018, 3:22pm

Is there any benefit for a FS9 user with 1.51 going to the latest version?

There are a couple of important fixes included in v1.60 so I'd say it is suggested to upgrade...BUT you must FIRST check you're not going to lose compatibility with aircraft/panels/whatever you're using (1.60 is NOT backward compatible).

Have no idea how you'd check compatibility other then installing and seeing if it works.  Undecided

It's quite simple actually: Are you using any aircraft/panel integrated with CIVA (like the FsLabs Concorde for example)?
If the answer is yes then you will have compatibility issues  :'(

I some HJG 727's and the RFP 747. Also a merge I'm beta testing of the CLS/RFP.

OZ Flyer,

I'd suggest you to proceed as follows:

1) Make a "backup" copy of the CIVA subfolder
2) Overwrite ins.gau and civa_id.dat
3) Delete all .ISD files
4) Try
5) If you notice something not working then "restore" copied CIVA folder

Good luck!  Smiley

In case anyone is wondering, it seems to work fine with the RFP panel and HJG’s 727 panels in FS9. No issues

Not sure what the ‘important updates’ are as it seems to perform identical but either way, it works well.

I have the old version working wonderfully in my RFP747 v2. Is the .cfg file going to be the same or will I need to rework my cfg file as well if I upgrade to the new version?

And hello to all! I hope everyone is well and healthy. It has been many moons since my last login.

I only changed the folders but kept the CFG file the same.
I personally wouldn't bother though. I dont see any difference at all. I think its more to be compatible with P3D or something like that.
